Our 'Learn to Sail' programme, provides a pathway to take children through the Yachting New Zealand (YNZ) syllabus, whilst providing time for fun and recreational sailing.
The course during Term 1, will consist of 7 lessons on Sunday’s, commencing Sunday 19th Feb.
Our approach provides students with the opportunity to complete their YNZ Level 1 at their own pace. This suits most children and is a perfect way for them to integrate into club sailing at the Tauranga Yacht & Power Boat Club.
Club sailors race regularly at local, regional and national level. Many go on to represent the Tauranga Yacht & Power Boat Club (TYPBC) and New Zealand.
The proof of the success of this combined BoPSAT/TYPBC approach, is in the number of junior sailors who have gone on to become champions.
